Zalsa Chicken Burrito:

This recipe is simple and we use it typically on a Saturday night while watching a movie as a family in our basement.

  • Thawed 0.78 lbs skinless-boneless Chicken breast cut into 1inch long strips
  • 1/4 bottle of Hot and Tangy Zalsa
  • 1 1/2 tsp Knorr pesto sauce dry mix
  • Pinch of rosemary-garlic seasoning
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric,
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 large tortillas
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Marinade Preparation: Mix in all the dry ingredients ( pesto sauce mix, rosemary-garlic seasoning, pepper, turmeric and salt) with 1/4 lb Zalsa Marinade thawed skinless-boneless chicken in the sauce for 3 hours

Add 5 Tbsp of oil to a frying pan and keep it in medium heat add Chicken with marinade. Cook for 5 minutes in high heat. Stir frequently. Add 1/4 cup water and reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes until chicken is cooked.

Take 1 tortilla spoon in 3-4 Tbsp of Chicken in the center from end to end. Sprinkle Mozzarella Cheese. Fold one side of the tortilla over the chicken. Fold the bottom part of the tortilla towards the center and then fold the remaining side over the center, leaving the top unfolded. As per taste add Zalsa on top of the chicken before wrapping the tortilla.

Vegetarians can substitute the chicken with precooked Soy strips. You can try this chicken filling over rice instead of tortilla. Bon Appetite.
